日本で活動する関 堅吾さん（株式会社NTTデータ）が、Hadoopのテストフレームワークプロジェクト Apache Yetus のコミッターに就任したと発表されました。

On behalf of the Apache Yetus PMC, I’m absolutely thrilled to announce Kengo Seki as a committer (and the first since becoming a TLP!) to the Apache Yetus project. Kengo has been working with Yetus for quite a while, having begun while it was still a part of the Apache Hadoop project. With significant contributions all over the various tools, Kengo’s acceptance of the role is a fantastic addition to the community and we’re all very excited about it!

コミッターはソースコードなどの変更などの権限を有する開発者のことです。関さんはYetusがHadoopプロジェクトから独立する以前からHadoopのテストフレームワークの開発に参加しており、これまでの開発活動の実績が認められて、選定されたものと思われます。これからの活躍が期待されます。
